"Having already looked at the HD 5830 in reference form, it was time to see what our retail card could do when combined with the reference model we've already looked at. Over the past few months and clearly the past few releases, we've had a look at all the models in Crossfire and have been extremely happy with the performance boost that the setups gave us.
Out of the box the Sapphire doesn't look like our reference card. How it really changes, however, is something we'll get into more detail on later. For now let's check out the package and see if Sapphire can wow us with the latest model from ATI."

ASUS P8P67 Deluxe Sandy bridge mobo preview |

In today's article we'll show you a very lovely offering from ASUS as we'll preview their upcoming P8P67 Deluxe Sandy bridge ready motherboard. This motherboard is using a 16+2 phases (digital) design cooled by two Guru3D blue'ish heatsinks. Of course features like SATA 6G and USB 3 are available as well, and guess what, the board supports SLI and Crossfire, albeit in a x8:x8 configuration.
There even is a 3rd mechanical x16 slot though that one is limited at x4 PCE lanes (still handy for a PhysX card). What's going to be big for this motherboard is that it does not have a BIOS anymore, at least not in the traditional way that we know it. This will be one of the first motherboards with the all new EFI BIOS.
