AMD Athlon II X4 645 3.1GHz Socket AM3 Quad-Core Processor Review

AMD Athlon II X4 645 3.1GHz Socket AM3 Quad-Core Processor Review - PCSTATS
Abstract: In this review PCSTATS is testing AMD's latest mainstream quad-core chip, the 3.1GHz Athlon II X4 645 processor. Architecturally speaking the Athlon II X4 645 is identical to the preceding Athlon II X4 635 model, except for a modest clock speed increase.

CPU Synthetic Benchmarks: SiSoft Sandra Memory

SiSoft Sandra 2009 - Memory Source: Sandra

Sandra is designed to test the theoretical power of a complete system and individual components. The numbers taken though are again, purely theoretical and may not represent real world performance. Higher bandwidth and lower latencies are best.

Once again the Core i7 920 PC demonstrates its incredible theoretical performance in Sandra. The triple-channel memory interface allows it to post huge gains in the memory bandwidth test. The Athlon II X4 645 holds its place, incrementally faster than the Athlon II X4 635 and 620 chips. Memory performance has always been Intel's game, the Athlon II X4 645 won't alter that.

SuperPi is up next!
