Content Creation Winstone 2004 is a system-level, application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when running top, Windows-based, 32-bit, content creation applications in Windows XP. Business Winstone 2004 runs real applications through a series of scripted activities and uses the time a PC takes to complete these activities to produce its performance scores.

WinBench 99 is a subsystem-level benchmark that measures the performance of a PC's graphical, disk, and video subsystems in a Windows environment. WinBench 99's tests can run on Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows XP systems.

In Winbench 99 the VIA PT894 does quite poorly in the HDD tests, but again this might be due to immature drivers. In the graphics portion of the benchmark we see that the VIA PT894 has a lot of potential 3D power.

Processor numbers are about the same in Sandra, after all the CPU is clocked at the same speed for all platforms. Bandwidth is a bit on the low side though.
