ABIT VA6 Apollo 133 Motherboard - PCSTATS

Test System Configuration

Processor(s) Intel Pentium III 800 @ 840 Mhz
Memory 128 Megs PC-133 SDRAM
Hard Drive Western Digital Expert 18 Gig
Operating System Windows 98 SE

As you can see there's a BIG difference between the two chipsets. The BE6-II with the 440BX chipset clearly spanks the the VA6 with the Apollo 133 when it comes time to transfer some memory. I'm sure this is not a big surprise to a lot of you. But, as I have said many many times before Sandra is only a synthetic benchmark and it doesn't always translate into real world performance. Or does it?
