Roccat Kone[+] @ Techreaction.net
     Sat, Apr 14 2012 | 4:40P | Mouse Pads | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
Roccat has been coming on strong with their releases of great looking products with tons of customizable features. Today we have the Kone [+] gaming mouse on hand to review. The Kone [+] sports a 6000dpi Pro-Aim Laser Sensor and its integrated Tracking & Distance Control Unit (TDCU). The big upgrade made to the driver and the introduction of the Easy-Shift[+]? button has also turned the Kone[+] into a real, customizable piece of hardware. The highly praised hybrid shell for right-handers, including the Soft-Touch Surface, has been retained, but core improvements have been made that further increase the comfort of Kone?s successor. We will be tossing the mouse on the review table and see how well all these additions and features work. Can it be one of the best mice on the market, or will it fail to utilize everything as well as they say it will? Read on?"

ROCCAT Kone Plus Max Customization Laser Gaming Mouse Review
     Fri, Apr 13 2012 | 4:34P | Mouse Pads | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
What does this do for you? Well, it allows you to use the Easy Shift on the mouse to work the keyboard controls and the other way around as well. Not exactly a must have in mice, but if you are going to be taking the Easy Shift to keyboards as well, the ability to use either of them to help control the other is full of win in my book. The mouse in question we are going to look at today from ROCCAT is the Kone[+]. This right hand only mouse offers styling to the hilt, with some really cool lighting features that will allow this mouse to match with any decor or do things that will make all of your friends green with envy. Since I have the ability to jump ahead and check things out before I deliver the review to you, I can assure you that as long as you are a right hander, there isn`t a thing that can`t be changed or addressed in some fashion to completely customize the look, feel and functionality of the Kone[+] via the included driver and software you must download to get the full effect of what ROCCAT is trying to do here. That is simply to offer things in a way that haven`t been thought of and make the time you do spend with your peripherals as enjoyable as possible. I say we run the Kone[+] through the gamut of tests and see just how well they did this time."

Corsair Vengeance M90 Gaming Mouse Review @ TechwareLabs
     Tue, Apr 10 2012 | 1:21P | Mouse Pads | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
The M90 is a good first product geared toward MMO and RTS gaming. They also have a sister product the M60 geared toward FPS games. The M90 has an aluminum metal frame\base that gives it solid feel without a lot of weight. The brushed aluminum also is a nice contrast to the rugged black plastic. The mouse has a nice ergonomic shape that makes using the mouse for long periods of time comfortable."

Corsair Vengeance M60 Gaming Mouse Review @ ThinkComputers.org
     Mon, Apr 09 2012 | 11:23A | Mouse Pads | PermaLink

I?m no different. My ?gaming? mice journey started out with a Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer; then a Logitech MX 1000; then the Logitech MX Revolution; then the Logitech Performance MX; and currently with the Logitech G700. If you look at all these mice you can see that other than the MX 1000 the layout and look do not differentiate from each other much. The G700 I possess I thought was by far the best mouse overall I?ve ever used. Other than the battery life, when in wireless mode sucks balls, the mouse was a perfect fit for me. The size, the speed, the button layout, the complete overall feel?it was amazing. So, when Bob asked me to review the Corsair Vengeance M60 Performance Gaming Mouse I was a bit hesitant. I don?t like reviewing products that I have a defined bias towards even before I open the box. I couldn?t see how anything could be as good as my G700. Well, I?ve been using the M60 for 3 weeks now and boy was I wrong."

Logitech Cube Grab-and-Go Mouse Review
     Sat, Mar 31 2012 | 4:25P | Mouse Pads | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
The idea here it to make a mouse that is small enough to fit in your pocket, but even more thought went into this design. Everything that we typically consider basic features of a mouse, such as the left click being on the left, or the right click being on the right, or better yet, a scroll wheel that isn`t a wheel at all! The way Logitech went about things here will stand your previous notions of what makes a cool mouse, crumble it all up and throw it in the waste bin. I will be honest; there is more of a business market feel to this new mouse. I used it for a few days and while odd at first, it easily becomes second nature in no time at all, but there are features like its presentation mode that makes you realize that most of us don`t have that concern. Even with the Logitech Cube Grab-and-Go mouse lending its features to the more business minded who would carry the laptop under one arm, their coffee in the other and with this tiny design, you can now slip this mouse slash pointer into a protective sleeve and stash it in your pocket as you walk to the next meeting."

Genius DeathTaker MMO/RTS Gaming Mouse @ Pro-Clockers
     Fri, Mar 30 2012 | 10:37A | Mouse Pads | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
This new product comes from their GX Gaming series, it`s the DeathTaker MMO/RTS gaming mouse. Yes, many of the gaming mice on the market are geared toward a specific genre or gaming, mostly MMO and FPS. The common features of the MMO variation is more buttons and a more sensitive laser resulting in a very high DPI rating. And this is just what the DeathTaker gives us. But it takes more than just that to fork out hard earned bucks for a mouse."

Xilence is a company that focuses on high-end, silent computer components. Their product portfolio ranges from RAM and HDD-coolers up to high-end cases. You`ll be seeing a bunch of reviews on Xilence products coming your way in the coming weeks, but I thought it would be nice to start you off with a case that can hold tremendous amounts of watercooling, or even a separate mITX-system! This is the Xilence Interceptor Pro. The biggest and `bestest` of the Xilence cases. Big brother of the Interceptor and Black Hornet. Are you ready? A link to the article would be much appreciated."

Cyborg M.M.O.7 Mouse Review @ Hardware Secrets
     Fri, Mar 23 2012 | 4:25P | Mouse Pads | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
Cyborg already had the R.A.T. mouse line for FPS games in its catalog. Now the company releases the M.M.O.7 with basically the same R.A.T. body but aimed at MMORPGs, a game genre that has World of Warcraft as its prime example. The distinctive feature over the competition is the body, which resembles a Transformer. The M.M.O.7 has some exposed body parts and it is reshapable; that is, the user can change bits and pieces to adjust the peripheral to his or her hand. The mouse has 13 reconfigurable buttons that are able to control 78 functions, a weight adjustment system, and a sensor that reaches 6,400 dpi of resolution. First, we will describe its physical aspects and then proceed to its configuration and operation."
