Interview with DJI: Future of the Phantom quadcopters
|
“All of our products are continually evolving, whether it’s the Phantom series or the Spreading Wing series, we’re always looking at how to fill the gaps of consumer demand and we’re always innovating. For the next series, we’re looking to improve ease of use and flight safety. It’s also no secret that the entire industry is moving towards sense-and-avoid technology, which allows the aircraft to know where objects are and steer out of their way.
But then there’s also other sensors that we would like be able to attach, so we’re working towards a more easy and open platform that allows people to use the Phantom for different uses. And we’re also looking at the sensor size and specs of our cameras. All those things will be coming to future generations.”

Intel X99 Motherboard Goes Up in Smoke For Reasons Unknown
|
Nearly two months ago Legit Reviews had an ASUS X99 Deluxe motherboard fail and it fried our Intel Core i7-5960X. We didn't promote the story, but we posted up a one page article about what happened and vowed to cover the story to the very end. After hundreds of e-mails and phone calls we have learned that issues have been discovered and that fixes have been made to prevent others from having failures such as this. Along the way we learned a good deal as we uncovered a power supply firmware update that was never made public, what voltages are safe for DDR4 memory and a number of other things. Read on to see what happened to our board and what you should do if you happen to own this board. Now that there is a solution we'll go ahead and send out the story!
