Micronpc.com to Offer Customers Choice of Processor Technology on ClientPro Platform of Business PCs

Nampa, Idaho - January 2, 2001 -- Micron Electronics, Inc., (www.micronpc.com , Nasdaq: MUEI) today announced its intentions to expand the use of AMD processors into its business-class platform of personal computers - the ClientPro product line.

Micronpc.com currently offers both AMD and Intel technology across its consumer-focused platform of Millenniar desktop PCs. This announcement signals micronpc.com's intent to offer the same level of choice to business customers on the ClientPror product line of business PCs. Since September, micronpc.com and AMD have combined their technology innovation to market computer solutions with solid performance, value and price.
