Benchmarks AquaMark3, Gun Metal 2
AquaMark3 is a powerful tool to determine reliable
information about the gaming performance of a computer system. Because the
benchmark extensively utilizes DirectX9, DirectX8 and DirectX7 functionality, it
represents the requirements of typical gaming applications in 2003 and
2004.
The
Radeon 9800XT is slightly faster than the MSI GeForceFX 5950 Ultra at stock
speeds but when overclocked, nothing even comes close.
Gun Metal
2 is one of the first games that will be taking advantage of DirectX 9
technology. According to Gun Metal 2, 2x AA is enabled by default on all videocards and the listed
framerates are average.
Well one
thing should be clear if you want to play Gun Metal, overclock your videocard
for better framerates!
At
1600x1200 no card at stock speeds give decent frame rates but once the MSI
FX5950 Ultra-VTD256 is overclocked it dishes out some decent frames.
