Benchmarks: Winstone 2001, Winbench 99

Winstone 2002 Source: Zdnet

Content Creation Winstone 2001 is a system-level, application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when running top, Windows-based, 32-bit, content creation applications on Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows Me, or Windows XP.

Business Winstone 2001 is a system-level, application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when running today's top-selling Windows-based 32-bit applications on Windows 98, Windows 2000 (SP6 or later), Windows Me, or Windows XP. Business Winstone doesn't mimic what these packages do; it runs real applications through a series of scripted activities and uses the time a PC takes to complete those activities to produce its performance scores.

Yes we're using Winstone 2001 to test the system (we benchmarked the rig a while ago). The Hermes does quite well for itself here.

WinBench 99 is a subsystem-level benchmark that measures the performance of a PC's graphics, disk, and video subsystems in a Windows environment. WinBench 99's tests can run on Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows Me systems.

MSI Hermes 650-P Score Ranking
1. Business Disk - 133/266 4970
2. High-End Disk - 133/266 15200
3. Business Graphics - 133/266 223
4. High-End Graphics - 133/266 645

To be honest I'm not surprised by the results here. As we have seen in the past with SFF PC's, HDD performance is usually quite poor and the integrated SiS 650 graphics card is weak as well.
