Please note, we could not get the SR7-8X to run with the memory operating at 400 MHz no matter what we tried or used.

SysMark2002 is more of an extension of SysMark2001 rather then a whole new benchmark. The applications used during testing have been updated and most importantly for AMD users, the new SysMark2002 uses the Windows Media Encoder 7.1 which supports the AthlonXP's SSE instructions.

BapCo SysMark 2002 Benchmark Results
Internet Content (FSB/Memory) Sysmarks Ranking
1. 648 MAX - 133/400 290
2. SR7-8X - 133/333 301
3. SR7-8X - 141/353 315

Office Productivity (FSB/Memory)

1 648 MAX - 133/400 137
2. SR7-8X - 133/333 140
3. SR7-8X - 141/353 143

SysMark2002 seems to like the SR7-8X more then the 648 MAX even though the memory bandwidth is lower... Please remember though, on the MSI 648 MAX, the performance difference between 400 MHz memory operation and 333 MHz memory was nil.

Content Creation Winstone 2001 keeps multiple applications open at once and switches among those applications. Content Creation Winstone 2001's activities focus on what we call "hot spots," periods of activity that make your PC really work--the times where you're likely to see an hourglass or a progress bar.

Business Winstone is a system-level, application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when running today's Windows-based 32-bit applications on Windows 98 ME, Windows NT 4.0 (SP6 or later), Windows 2000, Windows Me, or Windows XP which runs real applications through a series of scripted activities and uses the time a PC takes to complete those activities to produce its performance scores.

Winstone 2001 Benchmark Results
Content Creation (FSB/Memory) Scores Ranking
1. 648 MAX - 133/400 74.3
2. SR7-8X - 133/333 75.3
3. SR7-8X - 141/353 76.8

Business Winstone (FSB/Memory)

1 648 MAX - 133/400 50.7
2. SR7-8X - 133/333 49.9
3. SR7-8X - 141/353 50.7

Here we see that the motherboard perform about the same no matter what the speed they're running.
