Unreal Tournament 2003 Demo

Unreal Tournament 2003 is the sequel to 1999's multiple 'Game of the Year' award winner. It uses the very latest Unreal Engine technology - where graphics, sound and gameplay are taken beyond the bleeding edge. Unreal Tournament 2003 employs the use of Vertex as well as Pixel Shaders and it's recommended that you use a DirectX 8 videocard to get the most out of the game.

We don't get quite as big a performance boost in UT2003 as we did in Quake III Arena. Still there is a healthy jump from stock to overclocked.

Final Conclusions

If you're only interested in the best, or are an overclocker looking for 600FPS, you're no doubt familiar with Corsair memory . They've been producing quality DIMMs since 1994 and the recent release of TwinX 1024-3200LL lives up to this lofty reputation.

With stock timings of 2-2-2-6-1 at 200 MHz, the Corsair TwinX 1024-3200LL DIMMs are already damn fast! The modules we tested were able to overclock to 440 MHz on an AMD test system and an amazing 454 MHz the Intel rig!

As you can see from the benchmarks above, this [overclocking] does give a fair performance boost.

With a retail price of $381 CDN or $285 USD the Corsair TwinX 1024-3200LL memory is some pricey gear, but it's also among the best by far. For the Canuck's out there, it is less expensive to buy this memory from the US and have it shipped up to Canada incidently.

As mentioned earlier because customer service is just as important to me as the quality of the product I'm buying, I don't mind paying a bit more if that means they'll take care of me should I have problems. My personal experiences with Corsair has been quite positive, I did happen to buy one bad stick of memory about a year ago but they handled the RMA well.

I guess the only real downside with the TwinX 1024-3200LL is its high price. If you're looking for the best there's no other substitute available on the market. If you're not going to be overclocking much, or do not need the fastest thing on the market you can probably get by on some of Corsair's memory which is less 'tuned.'
