Setting up ICS on Windows 98SE

First, right click on 'network neighborhood' and click 'properties.' You need to make sure that both of your network adaptors have the following entries: NetBEUI -> (yourcardname) TCP-IP -> (yourcardname).

If they are not present you will need to add them using the 'add' button, then 'protocol' then either NetBEUI or TCP-IP. Reboot the computer if prompted.

On the computer you wish to make your gateway, go to my computer/control panel and open the Add/Remove Programs icon, then choose the 'Windows Setup' tab. Highlight 'internet tools' and click 'details' Put a checkmark next to the first item, Internet Connection Sharing. Click Ok, and then Ok again.

You will need the Windows 98SE CD to install the component.

The Internet Sharing Setup Wizard should come up now. Click next at the first information screen...
