Benchmarks: Winstone 2002, Winbench

Winstone 2002 Source: Zdnet

Content Creation Winstone 2002 is a system-level, application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when running top, Windows-based, 32-bit, content creation applications on Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows Me, or Windows XP.

Business Winstone 2002 is a system-level, application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when running today's top-selling Windows-based 32-bit applications on Windows 98, Windows 2000 (SP6 or later), Windows Me, or Windows XP. Business Winstone doesn't mimic what these packages do; it runs real applications through a series of scripted activities and uses the time a PC takes to complete those activities to produce its performance scores.

Winstone 2002 Benchmark Results
Content Content (FSB/Memory) Score Ranking
1. 8RGA+ - 200/400 36.6
2. GA-7VT600 - 200/400

36.5

3. AK77-600 Max - 200/400 37.1
4. AK77-600 Max - 210/420 37.6

Business Winstone (FSB/Memory)

1. 8RGA+ - 200/400 50.4
2. GA-7VT600 - 200/400 49.4
3. AK77-600 Max - 200/400 50.5
4. AK77-600 Max - 210/420 50.5

It seems like the Winstone benchmarks work better with the VIA KT600 chipset than SysMark2002. Performance of all motherboards are similar, and even overclocking doesn't do much to the overall score.

4. High-End Graphics - 200/400 2060
4a. High-End Graphics - 210/420 2060

Hmm, usually HDD performance suffers when the system is overclocked but it looks like the AOpen AK77-600 Max thrives on it.
