Benchmarks: PCMark2002, 3DMark2001SE

PCMark 2002 Source: Futuremark

PCMark can be used on desktop PC's, Laptops and even Workstations and tests everyday computing from home to office usage. PCMark specifically stresses the CPU, memory subsystem, graphics subsystem, hard drives, WindowsXP GUI (if WinXP is used), video performance and even laptop batteries.

PCMark2002 Benchmark Results
Processor PCMarks Ranking
1. 8RGA+ - 200/400 6875
2. GA-7VT600 - 200/400 6706
3. KX18D Pro II - 200/400 6863
4. KX18D Pro II - 230/460 6854

1. 8RGA+ - 200/400 6012
2. GA-7VT600 - 200/400 5396
3. KX18D Pro II - 200/400 6564
4. KX18D Pro II - 230/460 7023

To be honest I'm not sure why the Albatron KX18D Pro II does so well in the memory portion of PCMark2002. Overclocking allows the KX18D Pro II to break the 7K memory score.

3DMark2001 SE Source: Futuremark

By combining DirectX8 support with completely new graphics, it continues to provide good overall system benchmarks. 3DMark2001 SE has been created in cooperation with the major 3D accelerator and processor manufacturers to provide a reliable set of diagnostic tools. The suite demonstrates 3D gaming performance by using real-world gaming technology to test a system's true performance abilities. Tests include: DirectX8 Vertex Shaders, Pixel Shaders and Point Sprites, DOT3 and Environment Mapped Bump Mapping, support for Full Scene Anti-aliasing and Texture Compression and two game tests using Ipion real-time physics. Higher 3DMark scores denote better performance.

Motherboard 3DMarks Ranking
1. 8RGA+ - 200/400 16618
2. GA-7VT600 - 200/400 15897
3. KX18D Pro II - 200/400 16837
4. KX18D Pro II - 230/460 17105

The KX18D Pro II is slightly faster than the Epox 8RGA+ in 3DMark2001SE. Perhaps the C1 nForce2's are tuned for a bit more performance.
