Albatron GeForce 6800GT Videocard Review - PCSTATS
Albatron's 6800GT is not quite as fast 6800 Ultra version, but with its core running at 350MHz it is still plenty powerful!

Overclocking the Albatron 6800GT

First let's state the obvious, the Albatron 6800 GT is one fast videocard, even at stock speeds. I'm positive it has enough power to keep even the most enthusiastic gamer happy; overclocking is simply for the benchmark freaks like myself, or for an added edge in games. Starting with the core at 350 MHz (by default), I immediately raised it to GeForce 6800 Ultra levels - 400 MHz. As expected, the Albatron 6800GT ran with absolutely no problems. We passed 410 MHz, 420 MHz and even 430 MHz before hitting the overclocking wall at 436 MHz. The card didn't exactly artifact above that speed, but rather pause momentarily during benchmarks. Obviously no good, back to 436MHz we went.

With the NV40 core up to the challenge of overclocking, I had some high hopes for the memory. 2ns DDR III certainly sounds fast, and so we began to raise the clock speed in small increments from 1GHz on up. We easily passed the 1.05 GHz mark, but quickly petered out at 1.06 GHz. Still, I guess that's nothing to scoff at.

I tried to run both the core and memory of the Albatron 6800GT at their maximum overclocked speeds, but we were met with a weird pausing problems in the benchmarks. Lowering the core speed to 433 MHz fixed that, and we were able to keep the memory at 1.06 GHz for the benchmarks to follow.

the agp and pci-e systems are different, but the results are being included for reference.we usually run gun metal 2 benchmarks to show dx9 power, but for some reason whenever we ran the benchmark it would crash back to desktop. we only experienced this issue on that benchmark, so perhaps there's a compatibility problem somewhere.
