Pure 32-Bit Benchmarks: PCMark05, 3DMark05

PCMark05 Source: FutureMark

PCMark05 is a premium tool for measuring both normal home use and simple 3D performance of the latest PC hardware. There are 11 system tests - each one is designed to represent a certain type of PC usage. By running these tests, PCMark05 stresses the components in a similar manner as they are stressed in normal home usage.

AMD Athlon64 FX-62 5072
AMD Sempron 3600+ 3787

PCMark05 definitely prefers the dual core processors over the single core AMD Sempron 3600+ by the way these results have turned out. The Sempron 3600+'s performance is in line with the AMD Athlon64 4000+, and that's still pretty good company to be with.

3DMark05 Source: FutureMark

3DMark05 is best suited for the latest generation of DirectX9.0 graphics cards. It is the first benchmark to require a DirectX9.0 compliant hardware with support for Pixel Shaders 2.0 or higher! By combining high quality 3D tests, CPU tests, feature tests, image quality tools, and much more, 3DMark05 is a premium benchmark for evaluating the latest generation of gaming hardware.

AMD Athlon64 FX-62 7533
AMD Sempron 3600+ 4869

3DMark05's overall score for the 2.0GHz AMD Sempron 3600+ is only slightly lower than the single core Athlon64 4000+, and that's pretty good all things considered. Overclocking the 3600+ boosts the overall or CPU scores negligibly.
