FEAR is Sierra's latest first person shooter which relies heavily on DirectX 9 features. With its "Soft Shadows" feature enabled, even the fastest videocards run at a crawl, FEAR is definitely the new benchmark for future FPS games to follow.

FEAR doesn't scale quite as well on the Core i5 750 as Crysis does, since this benchmark is much more sensitive to raw increases in clockspeed.

Scores in FEAR tend to fluctuate a lot (especially when running at several hundred frames per second), which explains why some scores go up and others go down when comparing Windows 7 to Windows Vista.
