EZ-Backit PCMCIA 12Gb Drive Review
EZ-Backit PCMCIA 12Gb Drive Review - PCSTATS
So, with this in mind we took extra interest in this weeks product on our review chopping block. Namely the EZ-BACKIT - essentially a 12GB Hitachi 2.5" drive, PCMCIA card and adapter cable.

Final thoughts on the drive

Conclusions:

All in all, the EZ-Backit is a very simple device.

Take one high capacity 2.5" hard drive, combine it with PCMCIA accessibility, and throw in user friendly backup software. In our opinion it's the addition of the little DOS program, enabling the return of precious data to a blank hard drive that really brings the usefulness of this drive into light.

That is of course our opinion. Chances are, home users will find marginal usefulness from repeated and lengthy backup sessions. Corporate, and computer techies on the other hand should be able to see the points where a device such as this can save time, effort and frustration.
