Sandra is designed to test the theoretical power of a complete system and individual components. The numbers taken though are again, purely theoretical and may not represent real world performance. Higher numbers represent better performance.

Memory Benchmark (FSB/Memory)

AMD/ALU

1. Integer SSE - 2x 512MB OCZ EL PC4200 (200/400 MHz) 3066 MB/s
2. Integer SSE - 2x 512MB OCZ EL PC4200 (214/428 MHz) 3260 MB/s

Intel/ALU

4.

Integer SSE2- 2x 512MB OCZ EL PC4200 (200/400 MHz)

4752MB/s
5. Integer SSE2- 2x 512MB OCZ EL PC4200 (271/542 MHz) 6310 MB/s

AMD/FPU

1. Float SSE - 2x 512MB OCZ EL PC4200 (200/400 MHz) 2881 MB/s
2. Float SSE - 2x 512MB OCZ EL PC4200 (214/428 MHz) 3051 MB/s

Intel/ALU

4. Integer SSE2 - 2x 512MB OCZ EL PC4200 (200/400 MHz) 4683 MB/s
5. Integer SSE2- 2x 512MB OCZ EL PC4200 (271/542 MHz) 6375 MB/s

The stock bandwidth is exactly what we expect, and overclocking boosts those numbers nicely.

PCMark 2002 Source: FutureMark

PCMark can be used on desktop PC's, Laptops and even Workstations and tests everyday computing from home to office usage. PCMark specifically stresses the CPU, memory subsystem, graphics subsystem, hard drives, WindowsXP GUI (if WinXP is used), video performance and even laptop batteries.

Score

Ranking

1 2x 512MB OCZ EL PC4200 (200/400 MHz) 6565
2. 2x 512MB OCZ EL PC4200 (214/428 MHz) 6783

Intel Memory (FSB/Memory)

1. 2x 512MB OCZ EL PC4200 (200/400 MHz) 8970
2. 2x 512MB OCZ EL PC4200 (271/542 MHz) 11785

Because the FSB does not go up very high bandwidth stays about the same on the AthlonXP test system. Things are completely different on the Intel side of the equation though, and memory shows a huge boost. Let's see if that translate into some real world performance gains.
