Benchmarks: Winstone 2002, Winbench 99

Content Creation Winstone 2002 is a system-level, application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when running top, Windows-based, 32-bit, content creation applications on Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows Me, or Windows XP.

Business Winstone 2002 is a system-level, application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when running today's top-selling Windows-based 32-bit applications on Windows 98, Windows 2000 (SP6 or later), Windows Me, or Windows XP. Business Winstone doesn't mimic what these packages do; it runs real applications through a series of scripted activities and uses the time a PC takes to complete those activities to produce its performance scores.

Winstone 2002 Benchmark Results
Content Content (FSB/Memory) Score Ranking
1. GNB MAX Dual DDR - 133/266 40.9
2. NT72-SA - 133/1066 38.7
3. NT72-SA - 140/1120 42.7

Business Winstone (FSB/Memory)

1 GNB MAX Dual DDR - 133/266 31.4
2. NT72-SA - 133/1066 29.9
3. NT72-SA - 140/1120 34.5

The performance differences here are much larger then in SysMark2002. At stock speeds, the NT72-SA loses out to the Granite Bay based MSI, but overclocked it takes a very healthy lead.

DFI NT72-SA Score Ranking
1. Business Disk - 133/1066 6670
1a. Business Disk - 140/1120 6600
2. High-End Disk - 133/1066 23000
2a. High-End Disk - 140/1120 21900
3. Business Graphics - 133/1066 935
3a. Business Graphics - 140/1120 953
4. High-End Graphics - 133/1066 1960
4a. High-End Graphics - 140/1120 1990

Like we see in almost all motherboard reviews, the disk based benchmarks don't like to be overclocked. The graphics portion of the benchmark remains about the same.
