Albatron PX865PE ProII i865PE Springdale Motherboard
Albatron PX865PE ProII i865PE Springdale Motherboard - PCSTATS
We expect the Albatron PX865PE Pro II will have a lot of "goodies" as well, and hopefully offer a little more in terms of overclocking.

Overclocking and BIOS

Already running at 200 MHz FSB we began to raise the bus speed slowly on the Albatron PX865PE Pro II. First 205 MHz, then 210 MHz, and 215 MHz came and went with absolutely no problems. At 217 MHz FSB we had to raise the CPU voltage to 1.6V (max on the motherboard) to help stabilize things. Going up further at 223 MHz FSB we again ran into some stability problems but that was nothing a simple memory voltage bump couldn't fix.

The highest we were able to go was 227 MHz FSB, anything higher and UT2003 would crap out during testing. I'm pretty sure the motherboard can go higher, I think it was our Pentium 4 3.0C that was holding us back. Albatron boldly states on their box that the motherboard is capable of 1 GHz FSB, but that remains to be witnessed.

In the Advanced Chipset Features within the BIOS we have all the usual memory tweaks we have come to expect from a performance motherboard. We're also able to adjust the AGP Aperture Size, but could not change the AGP rate.

Albatron allow the end user to adjust the FSB all the way up to 333 MHz, and the BIOS has a whole slew of memory multipliers. A maximum CPU voltage of 1.6V is limiting, but AGP voltage can be raised as high as 1.8V and DDR memory to 2.85V. Albatron defaults memory voltage to 2.55V which is a tad higher then stock values.
