the agp
and pci-e systems use a different motherboard but results are shown for
reference. we did not run overclocked tests because the
gv-rx80l256v did not overclock very well. so there. :-p
By
combining DirectX8 support with completely new graphics, 3DMark2001 SE continues
to provide good overall system benchmarks. 3DMark2001SE has been created in
cooperation with the major 3D accelerator and processor manufacturers to provide
a reliable set of diagnostic tools. The suite demonstrates 3D gaming performance
by using real-world gaming technology to test a system's true performance
abilities. Tests include: DirectX8 Vertex Shaders, Pixel Shaders and Point
Sprites, DOT3 and Environment Mapped Bump Mapping, support for Full Scene
Anti-aliasing and Texture Compression and two game tests using real-time
physics.

The Gigabyte GV-RX80L256V does very well in 3DMark2001
but then again, ATi cards traditionally do.
3DMark05
is the latest version of the highly favoured 3DMark graphics benchmarking
series. It is the first benchmark to require DirectX9.0 compliant hardware with
support for Pixel Shader 2.0 or higher!
