Ranked according to maximum overclocking memory result. Coming up with a criteria to rank the videocards was very difficult but we ended up ranking maximum memory speed. Memory bandwidth plays a key role in the overall performance of the videocard and realistically a GPU/VPU can never get enough no matter how it is designed. * The Biostar Sigma-Gate GeForce 7600GS has core and memory voltage options.

The reason we did not go as far back with videocards is because the technology is updated at a much faster pace than with motherboards. A videocard that is a year or two old is considered ancient and realistically speaking too old to play modern games. The various cards are also broken down into class levels so you don't have to worry about high end cards skewing the results from mid range or entry level videocards. ;-)

There you have it - a massive overclockers resource all on PCSTATS!

If you're into overclocking, there is valuable insight into what's the best overclocking gear in this article. It's definitely not all the motherboards, memory or videocards that are available for each generation by any stretch, but it's a good cross section. Your results will vary from what we were able to achieve, so use these results as guidelines and build from there. The specific test system specs for each item of PC gear is noted in the review, so follow the links if you're interested in the test conditions.

Happy Overclocking!
