Conclusion

Is it really worth it? Surprisingly, yes. But not because of the Hot-Rod's virtues alone. It's worth it because of the fact that if you are buying an ATA-66 controller, it usually means you are also getting a hard drive to match it. A new ATA-66 hard drive would definitely boost your real world performance by a considerable amount. You could get a speedy ATA-33 drive, but why? Might as well keep up with the trends and get the newest thing. Although, keep in mind ATA-100 might be coming on-line sooner than you think. That's the name of the game with computers. Technology is advancing so fast nowadays, that If you don't at least keep up, you would be left in the dust. And if you weren't trying to keep up with the newest trends you wouldn't be reading this review. Would you?
