Remote Wonder and Software

One of the coolest things that come with the AIW 8500 128MB package isn't even a feature of the videocard, rather it's what ATi calls their "Remote Wonder."

As the name suggests, it's a remote control (like you might find with a DVD player for instance) however it's not like those typical remote controls that come with computers - this one is actually pretty useful. The wireless radio signal based receiver attaches to a USB port and the remote requires four AAA batteries to operate. Batteries are included.

The Remote Wonder is used with ATi's All in Wonder or TV Wonder line of cards and doesn't require any special programming once it's installed if you only want to use it as a TV Remote. It has a host of functions including capturing your favorite video feeds, taking still shots and even mimicking the actions of a two button mouse!

As you can see from the Remote Wonder software, there are quite a few programmable key functions and the neat red power button can even turn the whole computer off!
