Benchmarks: Winstone 2002

Winstone 2002 Source: Zdnet

Content Creation Winstone 2002 is a system-level, application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when running top, Windows-based, 32-bit, content creation applications on Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows Me, or Windows XP.

Business Winstone 2002 is a system-level, application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when running today's top-selling Windows-based 32-bit applications on Windows 98, Windows 2000 (SP6 or later), Windows Me, or Windows XP. Business Winstone doesn't mimic what these packages do; it runs real applications through a series of scripted activities and uses the time a PC takes to complete those activities to produce its performance scores.

Winstone 2002 Benchmark Results
Content Content (FSB/Memory) Score Ranking
1. BG7 - 133/333 36.7
2. NT72-SA - 133/1066 38.7
3. GNB MAX Single DDR - 133/266 31.5
4. GNB MAX Dual DDR - 133/266 40.9

Business Winstone (FSB/Memory)

1 BG7 - 133/333 27.8
2. NT72-SA - 133/1066 29.9
3. GNB MAX Single DDR - 133/266 24.2
4. GNB MAX Dual DDR - 133/266 31.4

Unlike SysMark2002 which the scores were much closer, here there is a larger gap between the i850E/RDRAM and the GNB MAX/Dual DDR. Again, when using one DIMM, performance is under that of the BG7 running DDR333.
