Benchmarks: Sandra 2002

Sisoft Sandra 2002 Source: Sandra

Sandra is designed to test the theoretical power of a complete system and individual components. The numbers taken though are again, purely theoretical and may not represent real world performance.

5a. Integer ALU - Dual DDR - 133/266 3336 MB/s
6. Float FPU - Single DDR - 133/266 2040 MB/s
6a. Float FPU - Dual DDR - 133/266 3338 MB/s

Please keep in mind that the results from SiSoft Sandra 2002 and SiSoft Sandra 2003 are not comparable. For some strange reason, all modern processors scores with 2003 are about 1000 points higher.

We're not surprised that the CPU intensive tests are almost identical, after all there is no overclocking - we simply removed a stick of memory. Judging from the bandwidth scores from the single DDR setup, it looks like when Granite Bay is equipped with one stick of memory it will perform close to that of an i845E. When in dual DDR mode, bandwidth is easily equal to that of PC1066 RDRAM.
