Benchmarks: Winbench 99, SiSoft Sandra 2003

Winbench 99 V1.2 Source: e-Testinglabs.com

WinBench 99 is a subsystem-level benchmark that measures the performance of a PC's graphics, disk, and video subsystems in a Windows environment. WinBench 99's tests can run on Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows Me systems.

Magic-Pro K7N-Ultra S Score Ranking
1. Business Disk - 166/333 7490
1a. Business Disk - 211/422 7370
2. High-End Disk - 166/333 24700
2a. High-End Disk - 211/422 23600
3. Business Graphics - 166/333 1130
3a. Business Graphics - 211/422 1130
4. High-End Graphics - 166/333 2050
4a. High-End Graphics - 211/422 2030

Like usual HDD performance suffers when the system is overclocked. Surprising is that the graphics portion of Winbench 99 do not get much of a performance boost! The overclocked system is running at a lower overall CPU speed which can explain part of the problems.

Sandra is designed to test the theoretical power of a complete system and individual components. The numbers taken though are again, purely theoretical and may not represent real world performance.

Multimedia Benchmark (FSB)

1. Integer SSE - 166/333 11938 it/s
1a. Integer SSE - 211/422 11627 it/s
2. Floating-Point SSE - 166/333 12798 it/s
2a. Floating-Point SSE - 211/422 12511 it/s

CPU Benchmark (FSB)

3. Dhrystone SSE - 166/333 8136 MIPS
3a. Dhrystone SSE - 211/422 7927 MIPS
4. Whetstone SSE - 166/333

3255 MFLOPS

4a. Whetstone SSE - 211/422 3171 MFLOPS

Memory Benchmark (FSB)

5. Integer SSE - 166/333 2566 MB/s
5a. Integer SSE - 211/422 3226 MB/s
6. Float SSE - 166/333 2455 MB/s
6a. Float SSE - 211/422 3035 MB/s

Again because the processor is clocked at a lower overall speed the processor intensive benchmarks suffer. With the memory benchmark though the higher FSB gives a very nice bandwidth boost.
