Benchmarks: 3DMark2001, Comanche 4
combining DirectX8 support with completely new graphics, 3DMark2001 SE continues
to provide good overall system benchmarks. 3DMark2001 SE has been created in
cooperation with the major 3D accelerator and processor manufacturers to provide
a reliable set of diagnostic tools. The suite demonstrates 3D gaming performance
by using real-world gaming technology to test a system's true performance
abilities. Tests include: DirectX8 Vertex Shaders, Pixel Shaders and Point
Sprites, DOT3 and Environment Mapped Bump Mapping, support for Full Scene
Anti-aliasing and Texture Compression and two game tests using Ipion real-time
physics. Higher 3DMark scores denote better performance.
EX915 XCube is slightly slower than the 925X based Gigabyte GA-8ANXP-D, which
isn't bad considering it's a full desktop board and a slightly faster chipset
also. The difference between the XCube and Albatron PX915G Pro and Gigabyte
GA-8GPNXP is a lot more substantial.
Comanche 4 benchmark demo is a unique benchmark as it represents a real-world
gaming experience. It contains the single player "Eagle's Talon" mission from
the game as well as a detailed cinematic. This DirectX 8.1 benchmark demo will
measure your system's performance in the standard frames per second format. The
benchmark was run with audio disabled.
EX915 XCube practically equals the performance of the faster 925X motherboard in
