Business Winstone 2004 runs real applications through a series of scripted activities and uses the time a PC takes to complete these activities to produce its performance scores.

Benchmarks:
Business Winstone 2004: Points Ranking
2x 512MB Mushkin PC2-4200 (200/533) 32.9
2x 512MB Crucial Ballistix PC2-5300 (200/667) 32.7
2x 512MB Corsair PC2-8000UL (200/800) 33.4

2x 1024MB Super Talent T800UX2GC4 (241/964) 35.3

At stock speeds the low latencies help propel the Super Talent T800UX2GC4 (2x) 1GB memory modules into first place. This is pretty impressive considering the competition put forth by Crucial, Corsair and Mushkin DDR-2 modules. When overclocked to 964Mhz, nothing can keep up with this pair of Super Talent PC2-6400 memory.

Sandra is designed to test the theoretical power of a complete system as well as the individual components. The results are also purely theoretical and may not represent real world performance.

PCMark04 is an application-based benchmark and a premium tool for measuring overall PC performance. It uses portions of real applications instead of including whole applications or using specifically created code. This allows PCMark04 to maintain a smaller installation size while still giving accurate results.
