Benchmarks: SiSoft Sandra 2005, PCMark05, 3DMark05

SiSoft Sandra 2005 Source:Sandra

Sandra is designed to test the theoretical power of a complete system as well as the individual components. The results are also purely theoretical and may not represent real world performance.

2x 1024MB Patriot PDC2G4000ELK (276/552) 6758 6743

Memory bandwidth from the Patriot PDC2G4000ELK modules is pretty good, and as we can see having 2GB of total system memory does not lower memory bandwidth one bit either.

PCMark05 is a premium tool for measuring both normal home use and simple 3D performance of the latest PC hardware. There are 11 system tests - each one is designed to represent a certain type of PC usage. By running these tests, PCMark05 stresses the components in a similar manner as they are stressed in normal home usage.

At stock speeds the Patriot PDC2G4000ELK memory performs at the same speed as previously tested memory. Overclocking does not affect the overall score much since the CPU speed itself is clocked at approximately the same speed, the memory portion of the test though does see a nice performance boost!

3DMark05 Source: FutureMark

3DMark05 is best suited for the latest generation of DirectX9.0 graphics cards. It is the first benchmark to require a DirectX9.0 compliant hardware with support for Pixel Shaders 2.0 or higher! By combining high quality 3D tests, CPU tests, feature tests, image quality tools, and much more, 3DMark05 is a premium benchmark for evaluating the latest generation of gaming hardware.

2x 1024MB Patriot PDC2G4000ELK (276/552) 5715

3DMark05 is more of a videocard benchmark and that is why the overall score does not benefit from overclocking, although the CPU test does.
