Powering it up and conclusions

We powered up the system using the fairly typical power button hidden under the front door. The 3D Aurora 570 instantly lit up its immediate surroundings with the 13-LED blue glow from its three fans and the front display mechanism.

The glowing blue 3D Aurora logo projected under the front of the case is a nice touch, though opinions were divided as to its desirability.

The transparent plate with the logo on it can be removed if desired, so this shouldn't trouble anybody one way or the other. The Gigabyte 3D Aurora 570 was generally a pleasure to install and use, with no irritating habits.

A Great Watercooling Friendly Case

The Gigabyte 3D Aurora 570 was built with watercooling in mind, and in that regard it is tuned for low noise, easy integration of watercooling hardware, and has enough room for even the wildest of tangles of tubing to twist and turn. If you watercool your PC, this is the only computer case you should be looking at. All components in the 3D Aurora 570 come together to serve the greater purpose - large slow moving case intake and exhaust fans, watercooling friendly ports and spaces, a vented side panel (or clear window), and lighter-weight aluminum chassis construction.

The 3D Aurora 570 a breeze to use with advanced liquid cooling solutions.

You'd be well served to keep the bottom grill clean of dust and debris, that's where the intake fan gets its air.

From the emphasis on tooless installation, to the customized side panels, LED illuminated fans, heavy duty aluminum front bezel, easily accessible data ports, and smooth clean aluminum lines, it's hard to find any significant faults in the 3D Aurora 570 chassis. The front light which shines down a blue "3D Aurora" logo is customizable, so you can print your own patch and install it there if you wish. You'll want to after about 5 minutes, I guarantee (see Gigabyte-usa.com > chassis > 3D Aurora 570 for a template to print your own). This is one case which is really just watercooling ready right out of the box. That kind of flexibility is certainly one of the 3D Aurora 570's strongest attributes.

The workmanship of the 3D Aurora 570 is certainly up there as well. This is particularly evident by the choice of a nickel-plated steel rear panel to the case - too many times have we experienced case screws stripping out flimsy aluminum threads! The large Gigabyte 3D Aurora 570 retails for $188 CDN ($168 US, £88GBP) without a power supply, but don't like the high price tag scare you, it's a really great case.
