In the content creation portion of Sysmark 2005 the Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 performs slightly faster than the previous Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 processor. It's quite a bit quicker than AMD's Athlon64 X2/FX series though... and to top things off it's also less expensive. As the results indicate here, DDR3 does not equate to immediate performance benefits. The Web Publication component is the only test to see a benefit from DDR3, for all other tests the Intel P35 Express with DDR2 memory leads the pack of the three platforms the E6750 was tested with.
