32-Bit CPU Benchmarks: Office Productivity, SiSoft Sandra

Office Productivity Source: Zdnet

Business Winstone 2004 runs real applications through a series of scripted activities and uses the time a PC takes to complete these activities to produce its performance scores.

Content Creation Winstone 2004 is a system-level, application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when running top, Windows-based, 32-bit, content creation applications in Windows XP.

Winstone's Office Productivity benchmark mirrors what we saw with SYSMark2004; the Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 is fast, handles somewhat better with the P35/DDR2 platform, and is probably overkill for all of these office oriented applications. ;-) The AMD Athlon64 is about as quick in this benchmark, however the E6750 is less inexpensive and more energy efficient.

Sandra is designed to test the theoretical power of a complete system and individual components. The numbers taken though are again, purely theoretical and may not represent real world performance.

SiSoft Sandra results place the Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 processor very well. The CPU and Multimedia Benchmark results are higher than any processor PCSTATS has ever tested.... As you can see, memory bandwidth with the Intel P35 Express / DDR3 is highest followed by the Intel P35 system with packing DDR2 memory. Sweet.
