ASUS ENGTS250 DK Geforce GTS 250 Videocard Review

ASUS ENGTS250 DK Geforce GTS 250 Videocard Review - PCSTATS
Abstract: ASUS's ENGTS250 DK videocard should draw less power and produce less heat than the Geforece 9800GTX+, and in this case makes use of a very nice and pretty quiet heatsink.

Crysis 1.2

Source: Electronic Arts

Crysis is a science fiction first-person shooter developed by Crytek. Crysis uses Microsoft's new API, DirectX 10 for graphics rendering, and includes the new engine—the CryEngine 2—that is the successor to Far Cry's CryEngine. CryEngine 2 is among the first engines to use the DirectX 10 framework of Windows Vista, but can also run using DirectX 9, both on Vista and Windows XP.

nVidia and Crysis have always gotten along well together, and once the resolution and graphics sliders are cranked up the overall scores become quite competitive between a single Geforce GTS 250 videocard and AMD's faster video cards, like the Radeon HD4870 X2. Two Geforce GTS 250s are the only videocards that approach the magic 60FPS performance mark at 1920x1200 resolution.
