360-Degree Motherboard Gallery: GA-P67A-UD7-B3

Two-way SLI / Three-way Crossfire

First up are the Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7-B3's videocard slots - this motherboard packs in four physical PCI Express 2.0 x16 videocard slots, two of which operate in x16 mode, two in x8 mode.

The board supports 2-way nVidia SLI care of an embedded nVidia NF200 chipset and 3-way AMD CrossfireX for multi-videocard gaming goodness. Gigabyte designed this motherboard for multi-videocard gaming, in addition to the graphics card slots there is plenty of SATA and USB 3.0 to go around.

Two videocards will operate in x16/x16 mode, three videocards at x16/x8/x8 mode. Remaining expansion slots include one PCI Express x1 slot and two legacy PCI slots.

Spacing between the videocard PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots is good. Since only the first, third and fourth slots are utilized, dual-slot videocards will fit in without issue and still have enough room for cooling.

Port 80 card for troubleshooting overclocking issues....

The Intel P67 Express chipset doesn't produce that much heat so all it needs is a small, low profile passive aluminum heatsink.

In this corner of the Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7-B3 motherboard we also find a Port 80 card to help debug issues when overclocking, a pair of USB 3.0 headers (four internal USB 3.0 ports!) and plenty of SATAII/III. There's quite a lot of connectivity going on with this Gigabyte motherboard; even two eSATA III ports at the rear I/O.

Two native SATA 6GB/s and four SATA 3GB/s ports, plus two additional SATA III from a Marvell controller.

The Intel P67 chipset natively supports two SATA 6GB/s and four SATA 3GB/s connections and thus RAID 0/1/5/10 can be configured across any of these ports. Gigabyte have added a pair of Marvell SE9128 controllers (connected via a PCI Express x1 link to the P67 chipset) to increase the number of internal 6GB/s SATA III ports to four.

Memory is coming up after the jump....
