Muzetto On People

The nice thing about this 'man bag' is that it looks good on both men and women. First up, our office model Amanda.

The padded outer pocket snugly stores an Apple iPad without the need of a protective sleeve case.

Accessing the rear pocket; ideally sized for a magazine or folded over newspaper.

Next, here's what the Waterfield Muzetto bag looks on our office male model, Davin.

The grippy shoulder strap keeps it in position when adjusting the bag.

Flip the cover up to access the two main pockets.

Any bag that goes with jeans is a good bag.

Waterfield's Muzetto vertical notebook bag is a good intermediary when attending meetings in and around a large office. A good padded notebook sleeve would be recommended in our books as the zipper on the inside of the Muzetto did make contact with the notebook we tried this bag out with.

Depending on how you wear it, whether the bag is at your side or rear, the leather flap may bounce around a little and make a somewhat distraction slapping noise while you walk. In this instance, a catch to hold the flap down would have remedied this.

It does take a little thought about how to get in and out of the Muzetto gracefully. A few people automatically tried to fold the entire stiff leather flap back around the rear of the bag while wearing it, to get at items on the inside. This was pretty awkward to do, it's better to simply fold the flap up against your body and reach in.

When the Muzetto is laying on a table, getting into and out of the main pocket is easily accomplished by folding the main leather flap in behind the whole bag before setting it down on the table. In all other respects, none of the volunteers who tried out the Waterfield Muzetto bag had any significant issues with its layout. A few noted that the oiled leather does mark easily when hard objects are scraped against it. Since the leather here is fuzzy (for lack of the proper term) this is to be expected. Small scuffs weren't difficult to rub away with one's hands, the manufacturer recommends leather treatments for more intensive care.

The oiled leather wears wonderfully and is fully of character.

Men will always opt for functional over style, but it doesn't hurt to have both. Waterfield Designs' bags and cases have always been about functionality married to smart design. Waterfield's 11" leather Muzetto bag is ideal for running out to a formal meeting with the bare essentials. The main pocket is big enough to hold the necessities while the outer pocket makes quick work of storing an iPad for presentations. Bottom line, this vertical notebook bag is just the right size for this kind of useage, obviously if you need more space you need a bigger bag.

The 11" brown leather Waterfield Muzetto notebook bag with copper accent colour PCSTATS reviewed here retails for $219 USD via www.sfbags.com.
