Beginners Guides: Repairing a Cracked / Broken Notebook LCD Screen - PCSTATS
A broken or cracked LCD screen makes a laptop utterly useless, good thing PCSTATS can show you how to replace that busted laptop screen with a minimum of fuss and for less money than a service center charges. PCSTATS will be fixing a cracked LCD screen on a Lenovo T530 ThinkPad notebook, the general procedures outlined here work for any notebook though.

Step Five: Installing the Replacement Screen Pg 3

Bring the rear plastic screen bezel up in preparation for reinstalling the metal frame screws and make sure the wires around the hinge are routed correctly. At this point it's helpful to reference the pictures you took during disassembly to figure out where the wires go (in this case, the thin wires are for a Wifi antenna).

A small tool may be used to route the wires around paths molded into the plastic bezel. Once the wires are back in position, install the screw in the hole you marked with a dot during disassembly.

Repeat the process for the wires by the other hinge and reinstall the screw. Finally, install the two final screws at the top of the panel and replace any other electrical parts (ie. the case close sensor) back in their original locations).

Tilt the whole screen backwards and forwards to check that the wires don't bind or become pinched. Pinched wires may be damaged, so reference your disassembly photos to ensure they are routed correctly.
