Unreal Tournament 2003 Demo

Unreal Tournament 2003 is the sequel to 1999's multiple 'Game of the Year' award winner. It uses the very latest Unreal Engine technology - where graphics, sound and gameplay are taken beyond the bleeding edge. Unreal Tournament 2003 employs the use of Vertex as well as Pixel Shaders and it's recommended that you use a DirectX 8 videocard to get the most out of the game.

The AMD test system gets a small boost in frame rates due to overclocking because the CPU speed is approximately the same. The Intel system gets a huge boost but again the CPU is running about 1 GHz faster as well.

What awesome value!

While this is our first experience with Buffalo memory one thing is for sure, we like it! You're excused if you've never heard of Buffalo Technology as they've have not been targeting the enthusiast markets until very recently. Because the Buffalo PC3700 DDR was equipped with Winbond BH-5 DRAM we knew it would be good.... although I did have some doubts about it hitting its rated PC3700 DDR speed.

With a retail price of just $194 CDN ($130 US) here or vai Newegg the 2x 256MB Buffalo PC3700 DDR is easily one of the least expensive performance memory modules we've tested! About $75 CDN cheaper then two sticks of Corsair XMS3500 CAS2 and $120 CDN cheaper then OCZ's PC3700 DDR DIMM's!

Even though the memory was not able to hit the PC3700 DDR (466 MHz) mark we were still extremely impressed with what we got. With our AMD test system we were able to hit 430 MHz and with our Intel test rig 440 MHz while maintaining 100% stability. Not the highest we've seen but it's difficult to beat for the money.

If you're an overclocker on a budget, see if you can score a couple of Buffalo PC3700 DIMM's. Bang for the buck they can't be beat and they'll give the big boys like Mushkin, Kingston and Corsair a run for their money!
