Unreal Tournament 2003 Demo

Source: Epic

Unreal Tournament 2003 is the sequel to 1999's multiple 'Game of the Year' award winner. It uses the very latest Unreal Engine technology - where graphics, sound and gameplay are taken beyond the bleeding edge. Unreal Tournament 2003 employs the use of Vertex as well as Pixel Shaders and it's recommended that you use a DirectX 8 videocard to get the most out of the game.

Pretty much just more of the same here. Stock performance is good, overclocked is better.

Case modders out there take note!

GeIL's new Golden Dragon line of memory is easily the best looking memory on the market with advanced WLCSP DRAM and red-LED eyed dragon. With looks playing such an important role in today's computer buying, GeIL has raised the bar for every other memory manufacturer out there. Coloured heat spreaders are no longer enough, if they ever were...

With a retail price of $177 CDN ($129 US) , the two sticks of 256MB GeIL Golden Dragon Ultra PC3500 DDR memory is provides for good economy. Corsair's TwinX3200LL retail for about $50 CDN more, and two sticks of OCZ EL PC-3500 retail about $80 CDN more!

Performance of the memory was okay, not the fastest we have ever tested and not the slowest either. The GeIL Golden Dragon seems more engineered for those who want a good mix of appearance and (overclocking) performance.

We did have some initial problems with the GeIL memory in the Epox 8RGA+ motherboard, and to resolve this the DIMM voltage had to be raised to 2.63V to stabilize the situation at 166 MHz. After that though, the DIMM's worked great together all the way up to 217 MHz FSB with the most aggressive memory timings, and with more conservative times of 2-3-3-6, up to 226MHz.

If you're looking for something to spice up your computer during a late night overclocking session the GeIL Golden Dragon Ultra PC3500 is a good choice, even though there were a few speed bumps along the way.
