AquaMark is another DirectX 8 benchmark. Using vertex shaders, any card that is DirectX8 compatible will not just have a huge speed boost, the image will also look better. Default test has 24 MB worth of textures.

All videocards provide perfectly gameable framerates when playing at 1024x768. At stock speeds the Gigabyte GV-NV57U128D is 10 fps faster than the Asus Radeon A9600XT.

With the higher resolutions we see here, the mainstream videocards start to slow down quite significantly. The Gigabyte GeForceFX 5700 Ultra based videocard is still fastest of all the 'regular' videocards though.
