Benchmarks: SiSoft Sandra 2004, Super Pi, PCMark2002

SiSoft Sandra 2004 Source: Sandra

Sandra is designed to test the theoretical power of a complete system and individual components. The numbers taken though are again, purely theoretical and may not represent real world performance.

Please keep in mind that the CPU is running at the same approximate speed on all motherboards. Overclocking the K8N Neo-FIS2R Platinum boosts bandwidth quite nicely.

Super Pi Source: SuperPI

SuperPI calculates the number PI to 1 Million digits in this raw number crunching benchmark. The benchmark is fairly diverse and allows the user to change the number of digits of PI that can be calculated from 16 Thousand to 32 Million. The benchmark, which uses 19 iterations in the test, is set 1 Million digits.

Lower numbers denote faster calculation times (seconds), and hence, better performance.

Again remember that the Athlon64 3200+ is running at the same speed on all the motherboards. SuperPi loves a lot of bandwidth, and here we see that the K8N Neo-FIS2R Platinum has the best time.

PCMark 2002 Source: FutureMark

PCMark can be used on desktop PC's, Laptops and even Workstations and tests everyday computing from home to office usage. PCMark specifically stresses the CPU, memory subsystem, graphics subsystem, hard drives, WindowsXP GUI (if WinXP is used), video performance and even laptop batteries.

It should be no surprise that all the motherboards score about the same in the Processor portion of PCMark2002. Overclocking really boosts the memory score for the K8N Neo-FIS2R Platinum though.
