Overclocking and the Gigabyte BIOS

Overclocking Results:
stock max. oc
motherboard speed: 200 mhz

255 mhz

if you're new to Overclocking and not sure what to do, check out these two excellent Guides for some pointers:
Overclocking the CPU and Memory
Overclocking the Videocard
Before the overclocking started, the CPU multiplier was first set to 4x and memory frequency set to run in 133 MHz mode. These settings ensure that neither the processor or memory will hold the motherboard back.

Starting at 200 MHz, the clock speed was increased slowly in 5 MHz intervals. Unfortunately, processor overclocking did not go very far and the Gigabyte GA-K8N51PVMT-9 topped out at 237 MHz.

Not great as overclocking goes, but then again we should remember that the GeForce 6150 is not intended for the enthusiast markets. Mainstream consumers want reliability and functionality, not overclocking options.

To access the "more advanced features" you have to first press CTRL + F1 in the root menu. The motherboard frequency can be adjusted between 200-300 MHz in 1 MHz increments. HTT speed and width between the GeForce 6150 Northbridge and processor can also be adjusted, speed and width wise. Memory timing adjustments are also found in the Frequency Voltage Control section.
