The Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 motherboard is definitely very fast, and comes in second in this list of overclocked motherboard results. Not bad at all breaking 500 MHz is definitely quite an achievement!

Well rounded Motherboard!

The Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 motherboard is a high end motherboard even if Intel did not intend the P35 Express to be a high end chipset. The board plays the part well and is loaded with features; Gigabit networking, IEEE 1394 ports, plenty of Serial ATA II channels and dual videocard support, what more could you ask for?

Gigabyte does its best to please everyone, and the GA-P35-DS4 motherboard is a good example of this. Novice users will appreciate the clean layout during installation, and enthusiasts the very powerful BIOS for overclocking.

The Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 motherboard performed very well in the benchmark suite. The motherboard is a perfectly adequate workstation platform and does very well at data crunching tasks. Of course with AMD CrossFire support, you know the board's screaming to be used in a gaming system and the GA-P35-DS4 does not disappoint there!

From the 3DMark tests to Quake 4 and FarCry, the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 ran down benchmark after benchmark smoothly. With a retail price of $181 CDN ($194 USD, £93 GBP) the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 is priced with a bit of a premium. The extras in this case may well improve its reliability in the long haul, and if not, it has a broad range of integrated features to make its lifespan a very useful time. The GA-P35-DS4 is a strong performer and will definitely keep you satisfied if you're looking to build a new Intel Core2 Duo or Core 2 Quad computer system.
