There's a lot you can do with a touch screen notebook,
but there is nothing faster than a keyboard for writing. One problem we've
often encountered with notebooks is insufficient space for the palms to rest,
making touch typing uncomfortable. Samsungs' ATIV Book 9-Lite has generous palm
rests, a tile style keyboard which is responsive and a generously
sized touch pad with integrated click buttons. Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity
allows a wireless mouse to be readily connected, or you can forgo
all this and interact with Windows 8 directly via the multi-point
touch screen interface.
The back of the display is glossy white plastic, save for the aluminum Samsung
logo.
There are no ports or connectors along the front or
rear edges of the ATIV Book 9-Lite.
All ports and jacks are grouped together on the
left and right edge of the notebook, rather than spread out and creating a
thicker profile out of necessity.

The bottom of the Samsung ATIV Book
9-Lite notebook has no access bays. The only three things which grace this
glass-fiber reinforced plastic surface are cooling vents, speaker grills at either corner and an SD memory card
reader flap.
