MSI G4Ti4600-VTD GeForce 4 Ti4600 Review
MSI G4Ti4600-VTD GeForce 4 Ti4600 Review - PCSTATS
Based on nVidia's chip we already know that the G4Ti4600-VTD is going to be damn fast, but how does MSI separate itself from the rest?

GeForce 4 Conclusions

It's a given that any card with a GeForce 4 Ti4600 will perform well. Regardless of that we are very happy with what the MSI G4Ti4600-VTD has been showing us - it offers excellent performance for about $400-500 CDN ($325 USD).

The card handled every game we threw at it with ease and speed, be it from the benchmarking suite or games such as Counter Strike, RTCW, Jedi Knight II, etc. The games even run fast with AA enabled which is change for most of us!

It's pretty obvious that MSI are targeting the gamer more then anyone else. Bundled with an excellent software package that includes three full version games, seven demo's and full VIVO capabilities, there's a whole lot of multimedia goodies with this card to keep just about anyone busy with for some time to come.

If the G4Ti4600-VTD came with a DVI to analog converter the package would be near perfect since LCD monitors are still pretty expensive and two analog based monitors are more common. That is about the only real gripe I have with the card, and even that is pretty minor.

One thing is for sure though, with a Ti4600 you need a fast processor to fully max it out. During testing we noticed that unless AA was enabled, almost all our tests were CPU limited, even with an AthlonXP 2000+! If you want to use a Ti4600, make sure the rest of your hardware is up to the task or otherwise a really good card will just be going to waste.

If you're in the market for a new videocard, look no further then the MSI G4Ti4600-VTD! It has the power to satisfy your hungriest gaming needs no problem!

Update:

We were recently told by a few sources that MSI has begun shipping their G4Ti4600-VTD's with a DVI to Analog converters for a second analog output. MSI confirmed this yesterday and we'd just like to say great job! One of the best Ti4600's out there just got a whole lot better! =)
