Hello everybody, today we have released MSI Afterburner 4.5.0, in this version we further extend on the OSD graphs, the ability to plot graphics on-screen including frame times, FPS, Voltages but also introduce a number new features and fixes. Also the hardware monitoring module has been improved. MSI AfterBurner is a graphics card tweaking utility developed at Guru3D.com that will work very specifically for MSI graphics cards, but most other brands are supported as well. AfterBurner works with both Nvidia GeForce and AMD Radeon graphics cards.

"While the Kernel Page Table Isolation (KPTI) patches were quick to land in the mainline Linux kernel for addressing the Meltdown CPU vulnerability, the "Retpoline" patches are still being worked on as the leading approach on the Linux side for dealing with the Spectre CPU vulnerability. The Retpoline patches are said to have little impact on performance, but here are our benchmarks of these kernel patches for seeing how they affect a variety of AMD and Intel systems."
