Although not quite on par in audio performance with the M7 the brand new M6 Portable Hi-Res Music Player by FiiO comes very close, is more compact, features WiFi connectivity and is priced rather aggressively.

     Wed, Nov 14 2018 | 4:02P | MP3 Players | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
While most people who enjoy music on the go these days are listening from their phones, there are still many reasons someone might want to own a standalone portable music player. Models range from around $1 to more than $3,000, for what is already a niche market, the world of dedicated MP3 players is fragmented into various sub-niches targeting wildly different shoppers.

Creative MUVO 2 Portable Water-resistant BT Speaker with Built-in MP3 Player Rev
     Mon, Jun 19 2017 | 9:03A | MP3 Players | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
The MUVO 2 speaker from Creative water resistant capabilities is able to tackle all the splashes from rain or at the pool, can combat dust during travel and is available in multiple colors in order to match your style. Versus the smaller 2c variant, we now get two full-range speakers which have been fine-tuned from the factory along with a central passive radiator, which can deliver decent bass for an unit as small as this one (67 x 190 x 380 – H x W x D). The 2200mAh built-in Li-ion battery can deliver up to 10 hours of music (depending on the volume levels) and the speaker does accept inputs from various sources such as USB, analog jack, Bluetooth or microSDHC/SDXC cards. In case we need to take a phone call, MUVO 2 does still have us covered, because it can be used as a speakerphone for smartphones that do support hands-free profiles (HFP)."

SanDisk Clip Sport MP3 Player Review @ Legit Reviews
     Sun, Apr 27 2014 | 4:50P | MP3 Players | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
In the first part of February SanDisk announced the new SanDisk Clip Sport MP3 player that was aimed at athletes and fitness enthusiasts, and they were nice and sent us one. Now you are thinking ?Why do I need a dedicated MP3 player? I have a smart phone?. Well running or working out with a large phone like my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 sucks. It?s a massive phone, and it bouncing around in my pocket while running is not only hard on my leg, but the phone too.The SanDisk Clip Sport is small, light, and with 4GB or 8GB internal storage more than enough for a couple hours in the gym."

Hercules DJ Control MP3
     Sun, Jul 24 2011 | 12:03P | MP3 Players | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
"Ever think about being a DJ? I have, but not professionally of course. I know I like techno or re-mixed music myself, but I just don’t have the time or patience for creating my own. Today for review I’ve got something that the aspiring DJs out there might find interesting from Hercules called the DJ Control MP3 e2. The e2 isn’t exactly a professional DJ mixing board but it can be something to get you started and have fun in the process. "

iHome iP1 Studio Series Audio System for iPhone/iPod Review
     Tue, Mar 08 2011 | 12:02P | MP3 Players | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
The iP1 Sound System with iPhone/iPod dock from iHome sports a very modern look and comes with enough power for most home users; the Bongiovi DPS sound enhancement is also present on this unit like it was on the iP49, along with an extra set of speaker faces, Component Video output and Line-in jack for using it with different external sound sources, without the need to have an iPhone/iPod plugged in at that time.
