Sapphire HD 7970 Vapor-X GHZ Edition Review
     Wed, Aug 29 2012 | 4:08P | Video Cards | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
Adjusting the voltage any higher than 1212mv would cause a driver crash or hard lock during testing and is where I left the voltage while tweaking to find the highest core and memory speeds. At 1193/1605MHz I have the third best core clock speed of any HD 79XX card I have tested with only the water cooled Powercolor HD 7970 LCS and HD 7970 6GB Toxic pulling off a bigger clock speed. Temperature testing on this card with the voltage increase and higher fan speed showed a 5 C drop over the baseline result at 60 C showing that the Vapor-X cooler is easily able to deliver excellent cooling to go along with the gaming performance."

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 Ti
     Tue, Aug 28 2012 | 12:00P | Video Cards | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
Whereas we had previously crowned the GeForce GTX 670 the best value high performance graphics card money could buy, the GTX 660 Ti goes a step further in the price vs. performance rating. Based on current estimates we believe by the time you read this the Gigabyte GTX 660 Ti will be hitting shelves for around $300, making it roughly 33% cheaper than the GTX 670. This is amazing news for gamers as the GTX 660 Ti was only 13% slower on average than the GTX 670 in 16 games that we tested.

MSI GTX680 OC Twin Frozr III Review @ Vortez
     Tue, Aug 28 2012 | 10:39A | Video Cards | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
The GTX680 has been around for a while now and retains the GPU performance crown. While the GPU has not been accused of being hot, the reference design cooler inherits the noise of previous generations. So then, MSI have seen fit to strip the GPU back to the bare essentials and instead cool it with their very popular Twin Frozr cooler. The Twin Frozr design is now in it`s third generation (fourth if you include the extreme versions) and as such, MSI have tweaked it here and there to what we have today, the Twin Frozr three. We`ve seen this cooler on other graphics cards and have been impressed both by its cooling ability and its acoustics so to include it on the best performing GPU today should make perfect sense."

The new product from Inno3D Company impressed us not that much with its performance or overclocking potential, but with its unprecedentedly low noise. Actually, it would be more correct to say the absence of noise. Read our review to find out how they managed to accomplish that. http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/graphics/display/inno3d-ichill-geforce-gtx-670-herculez-3000.html

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti Round-Up: ZOTAC
     Sun, Aug 26 2012 | 12:02P | Video Cards | PermaLink

NVIDIA continues to flesh out their desktop GPU line-up today, with yet another high-performance graphics card based on the Kepler microarchitecture. To date, we’ve seen the GeForce GTX 670, GTX 680, and monstrous GTX 690 come to market, all sporting GK104 GPUs in one form or another. The new GeForce GTX 660 Ti we’ll be showing you here, although more affordable than its higher-end counterparts, continues the trend and also sports a GK104. As you probably expect though, certain portions of the GPU on the GeForce GTX 660 Ti are disabled or non-functional, so it’s not quite as capable as its more powerful brethren in the performance department. Its feature set, however, is identical...

Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 Ti Review
     Thu, Aug 23 2012 | 12:03P | Video Cards | PermaLink
Posted by: STAFF
Nvidia's new GeForce GTX 660 Ti has its crosshairs set on the HD 7870. Assuming it's priced competitively, the GTX 660 Ti seems like it could put a real hurting on AMD's offering, as it features the same DNA as existing Kepler products and boasts the same number of CUDA cores and texture units as the GTX 670. Nvidia has been pretty aggressive with Kepler's pricing and we'd look for the GTX 660 Ti to retail for about $300. Considering the fact that we expect it to deliver performance on par with the $350 HD 7950, this could spell disaster for AMD, prompting the outfit to administer yet another price cut.
