Intel i7 4770K Overclocking validations @ Ocaholic
New forum member Validator found some new interesting CPU-Z validations showing Intel`s Core i7 4770K overclocked at 4.8 GHz and 5.0 GHz with less than 1.0v (using latest CPU-Z version so voltage reading should be accurate). There is also one validation that shows 32GB of memory working at DDR3-2800 MHz. PS: We have double checked those screenshots by finding the validation links ourselves and they are real, no photoshop."

XFX R7790 Black Edition Overclocked Review
The R7790 is not built to be a high resolution gaming power house but a good solid performer at the $150 price point. At 1920x1080 resolutions you get playable frame rates in almost all of the games tested with Metro 2033 the lone game under 30 FPS. The idea here is to offer enough performance to get the job done while keeping the price point attractive. As a competitor for the GTX 650Ti, the XFX R7790 Black Edition leads the GTX 650Ti in every test save one where the margin of performance is within a single FPS."

Overclocking With Gigabyte Z77X Motherboards
In between chipset releases, manufacturers typically pump out numerous motherboard variations, adding this or that feature or optimizing boards for a particular function. Unsurprisingly, folks like us enjoy tinkering with those boards when granted the opportunity to see if they offer anything special, over and above plain-Jane products.
Gigabyte is one manufacturer that is never short on SKUs, and with a trio of its Z77-based motherboards in hand, we wondered what any red-blooded hardware enthusiast would: How far can we overclock these puppies?

NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN Preview - GK110 GPU Boost 2.0 Overclocking and GPGPU
I am allowed to talk about pricing though and as I have mentioned several times, the MSRP for TITAN is $999, the same price as the GTX 690. The GTX 690 has a pair of GK104 GPUs and 2GB of memory each while TITAN has a single larger GPU with 6GB of memory. Being as non-specific as possible, the GTX 690 is still faster in most cases but as I have said since SLI was reintroduced in 2004, if it is possible to buy a single GPU that can perform on the same level as a pair of GPUs, that is going to present the better gaming solution. Doing away with the need to balance the performance of two cards, even identical ones, will always benefit the gamer in the long run."

Techniques for Overclocking Intel Enthusiast Desktop and Mobile Platforms by Intel @ Ocaholic
Slides from this year Intel Developer Forum (IDF 2012 San Francisco) showing you the basis of overclocking, some architecture details and explanations of different voltages and settings by Intel. It is not an advanced Overclocking guide like the one we host from sin0822, it is more of an Introduction to Overclocking made by Intel. But still we think it could be interesting for beginners."

GIGABYTE breaks Core i7 3770K OC World Record at 7102MHz with upcoming Z77X-UP7
Earlier on today we were invited to the GIGABYTE headquarters here in Taipei where we were told we would see the Taiwanese motherboard maker and its in-house professional overclocker HiCookie try to set a new world record for the Intel Core i7 3770K processor. Overclocking was done on the upcoming GA-Z77X-UP7 motherboard that is due to be released this coming Monday - GIGABYTE at the time of writing were not prepared to comment on pricing as it is yet to be 100% confirmed. However, you can expect the price to be fairly high as this is a board designed for overclockers and it has plenty of top notch features to help overclockers around the world set new performance records. In the video above I mentioned that the Z77X-UP7 is much like a Formula One car in its design theory. Every little tweak has been included and high-end components such as 32 CPU phases are included to help set said new records."

ASUS T-Topology Explained - Higher Memory Overclocking @ ocaholic
With the Crosshair V Formula-Z and the Sabertooth 990FX R2.0, ASUS is going to release two new premium AMD motherboards, one for the TUF and the other for the ROG series. You can expect some changes and also some new features for AMDs latest FX Bulldozer CPUs as well as AMDs upcoming Piledriver processors. The biggest improvement concerns the implementation of ASUS` T-Topology on AMD motherboards. The manufacturers latest Z77 motherboards already incorporate this new feature and ASUS promises that overclockers can reach higher memory frequencies, when placing four DIMMs. ASUS was also working on the power delivery to the DIMM slots which should also help reaching higher clock frequencies. In this article we`re going to explain what is special about ASUS` T-Topology technology and why it helps with overclocking."
